The ball joint has some built in support structure, so it can retain its roundness. It will still require supports for the rest of the pegs. It is advisable to print the ball joint with as many perimeters as possible, in order to withstand torque. Higher infill will not make it stronger, perimeter walls will. Some trimming and sanding is required for this part.
The new hip-thigh socket has a new and slightly better design. its got a very thin slit inside the ball cavity, to allow for a bit of flexing when inserting the ball, but with more surface area and thicker overall structure so that it does not loosen too quickly.
I admit, this is the weakest part of the ZIPGUY system. That is why I am constantly improving it.
